Metacrilato di butile (BMA) è un composto organico classificato come un estere, specificamente l'estere butilico dell'acido metacrilico. È un liquido incolore a giallo pallido con un odore fruttato caratteristico. Il BMA è noto per le sue eccellenti proprietà di adesione, flessibilità e resistenza alla luce UV, rendendolo un componente prezioso in varie applicazioni, tra cui rivestimenti, adesivi e sigillanti. La sostanza ha una volatilità moderata ed è solubile in solventi organici come etanolo e acetone, ma è insolubile in acqua.
