Cyclohexylhydrazine dihydrochloride
CAS:Cyclohexylhydrazine dihydrochloride is a hydrogen atom donor that has been used to treat inflammatory diseases. It is an anxiolytic drug with a fluorine atom, which may be responsible for its therapeutic effects. Cyclohexylhydrazine dihydrochloride is an inhibitor of serotonin reuptake and has shown antidepressant activity in animals. It also inhibits the inflammation caused by cycloalkyl compounds and can be used as a treatment for degenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis. Cyclohexylhydrazine dihydrochloride binds to serotonin receptors in the brain and blocks the serotonin transporter, preventing serotonin from being reabsorbed into nerve cells and increasing the amount of serotonin in the synapse.

It is a nucleoside analog that has been shown to inhibit hepatitis B virus (HBV) in vitro. 3-(Methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine has been shown to be active against HBV and other viruses, such as influenza A, herpes simplex virus type 1, varicella zoster virus, and polio virus. This drug also inhibits the growth of tumor cells in culture. 3-(Methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine binds to viral RNA polymerase, preventing it from transcribing DNA into RNA. 3-(Methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine can also bind to the enzyme RNAse H, which is involved in the process of protein synthesis by breaking down messenger RNA molecules into smaller fragments.
