2-Iodo-N-methylacetamide
CAS:2-Iodo-N-methylacetamide is a vasotocin analogue that is used as a research tool to study the interaction of arginine vasotocin in the pancreas. 2-Iodo-N-methylacetamide has been shown to inhibit pancreatic enzyme activity and intestinal absorption of glucose, while enhancing insulin release. This drug also binds to the beta cells of the pancreas, inhibiting melatonin synthesis and increasing bovine serum albumin (BSA) hydroxyindoleacetic acid (HIAA) levels.
