Reagecon's Spectrophotometry Stray Light Inorganic 260 nm Cut-off Filter - Sodium Iodide is formulated to give zero absorbance at 260 nm wavelength. This standard is used to indicate to the analyst that the instrument is measuring light omitted from a source, other than through the sample cuvette.
