2-Decanone was used in the synthesis of brushed block copolymers via conjugation through an acid-labile hydrazone linker to poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(aspartate hydrazide) block copolymers; methyl ketones. 2-decanone used as a solvent and an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. It is also used in perfumes. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand.
