It is used in combination with the angiotensin receptor blocker olmesartan. Further, it acts as a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It is used as an anti-hypertensive. It is involved in the treatment of angina and to lower blood pressure. In addition to this, it is used to prevent chest pain and in coronary artery disease.
