Descrizione

Imidazole-2-carboxaldehyde is a novel protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) inhibitor with an important application to treat type-2 diabetes. It is used in the preparation of tridentate Schiff-base carboxylate-containing ligands by undergoing condensation reaction with amino acids beta-alanine and 2-aminobenzoic acid. It is also involved in the study of the imidazole-directed allylation of aldimines. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio.
