Descrizione:Zika virus NS1 antibody is a mouse monoclonal antibody that recognizes the nonstructural protein 1 (NS1) of the Zika virus. NS1 is an immunodominant viral antigen associated with the humoral immune response to Zika virus. Antibodies targeting epitopes on the cell-surface form of NS1 have been shown to protect against Zika virus infection during pregnancy in mice. There is a high correlation between Zika virus NS1 antibodies and neutralizing antibodies in selected serum samples from normal healthy individuals. Mouse monoclonal antibodies against NS1 have the potential to be used as diagnostic tools for accurate diagnosis of Zika virus infection. Additionally, monoclonal antibodies against NS1 have the potential to suppress Zika virus pathogenicity without enhancement of the disease.
