The 6-Fluoro-3-indoxyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside is a powerful antituberculosis drug from the rifamycins class. It is specifically designed to combat tuberculosis infection by targeting active compounds and exhibiting bactericidal activity. Through extensive research using transcription-quantitative polymerase chain and patch-clamp techniques, it has been proven to effectively inhibit bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, preventing transcription and replication.
