Methoxychlor is a physiological active compound that belongs to the class of organochlorines. It is used as an insecticide and acaricide. Methoxychlor has been shown to inhibit the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes and structural analysis revealed the presence of nitrogen atoms in its molecular structure.
