Descrizione

3,3'-Dimethylbenzidene 2HCl is a chemical that has been used as an optical sensor in animals. It has been shown to be toxic to the liver and other tissues when administered orally at high doses. 3,3'-Dimethylbenzidene 2HCl exerts its toxicity through a number of mechanisms, including inhibition of cellulase activity and induction of chemical reactions. The effects on humans are unclear, but carcinogenesis studies have found that 3,3'-dimethylbenzidene 2HCl can cause cancer in animals.
