2-Chloro-4,6-dibromoaniline is a halogenated aniline derivative that can form hydrogen bonds with other molecules. It is used as a solvent for dyes, pharmaceuticals and pesticides. The presence of the two bromine atoms allows 2-chloro-4,6-dibromoaniline to form chain structures. This property also makes it more reactive than other compounds in the same category. 2-Chloro-4,6-dibromoaniline has been shown to cause disorder in the crystal lattice structure of water molecules. This property may be due to its ability to disrupt hydrogen bonds between water molecules.
