Descrizione:2,3,6-Trichlorophenol is a chemical agent that is used in wastewater treatment. It has been shown to be effective in polymer film synthesis and mammalian cell cultures. 2,3,6-Trichlorophenol is also reactive with amines and can be used as a chromatographic reagent. Research has shown that 2,3,6-Trichlorophenol can cause mutations in human cytochrome P450 1A1 (CYP1A1) gene. This mutation leads to the production of an abnormal protein that can cause cancer cells to grow when they are exposed to other carcinogens. The effects of 2,3,6-Trichlorophenol on ovary cells and bacterial strains have been studied extensively.
