Descrizione:2,3,5-Trichlorophenol is a chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbon that is used as an intermediate in the production of herbicides and pesticides. It has been shown to be toxic to human cells at high concentrations. Triclosan inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to bacterial ribosomes. This binding prevents the formation of an antibiotic-inhibitor complex with the enzyme cell wall synthesis that is required for cell wall biosynthesis, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division.
