• Descrizione: Cis-1,2-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ethylene is a ruthenium complex with two phosphorus ligands in the cis configuration. This compound is an analogue of the diphenyl ether ligand and has been used to study the steric effects of the substituents on the phosphorus atoms. The structure of cis-1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethylene was determined by x-ray crystallography and FTIR spectroscopy. It has been shown to have a similar geometry to that of the diphenyl ether with regard to its P-C bond lengths and angles. Cis-1,2-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ethylene has also been shown to form intermolecular hydrogen bonding and halide bonds with chloride ions.
