Descrizione:Phenyl (E)-cinnamate is a molecule with a hydroxyl group and a carboxylic acid group. It is also an amide containing a fatty acid. Phenyl (E)-cinnamate has been shown to be effective in preventing cervical cancer in rats, as well as other types of cancer. The mechanism of action is believed to be due to the hydroxyl group interacting with the nitrogens on the cell surface and forming cross-links between molecules that are involved in cellular processes. This prevents cells from growing and dividing, thus limiting the growth of tumors.
