• Descrizione: Nutlin-3a is a potent and selective inhibitor of the MDM2 protein, which is an important regulator of p53. Nutlin-3a was shown to be less toxic than other chemical inhibitors in a model system. Nutlin-3a has been shown to induce significant cytotoxicity in cancer cells, but not in normal cells. This may be due to its ability to activate the apoptosis pathway by inhibiting the expression of pro-survival proteins such as Bcl-2 and Akt.
