9-Erythromycin 9-oxime is a photochemical synthesized antibiotic that has been shown to be effective against many types of bacteria. The compound is synthesized by the reaction of erythromycin with sodium carbonate and hydrochloric acid, which produces a 9-oxime derivative. It has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against infectious diseases and wastewater treatment, as well as the ability to kill bacteria in water samples.
