• Descrizione: OSIP-486823 is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that has minimal toxicity and inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase enzymes. It has been shown to inhibit squamous cell carcinoma in mice, with no effect on normal cells. OSIP-486823 also inhibits the production of PGE2 levels by cancer cells and mitochondrial membrane potential in tumour cells, leading to apoptosis. OSIP-486823 is also an inhibitor of Mcl-1 protein and can be used to treat bowel diseases, such as ulcerative colitis. OSIP-486823 may be used in combination preparations for the treatment of infectious diseases and solid tumours.
