BMS-202 has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity in liver cells, which may be due to its inhibition of mitochondrial energy metabolism. The use of this drug has been studied in a pharmacokinetics study on rats. Histological analysis showed that BMS-202 caused tissue damage in the liver microenvironment with areas of necrosis.
