These enzymes are often overexpressed in cancer cells and may be involved in the development of autoimmune diseases. This drug also has immunomodulatory effects, including inhibition of T-cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis. Acetylation is a process that affects gene expression by modifying chromatin structure. Acy-738 binds to serotonin reuptake transporters, preventing the reuptake of serotonin into presynaptic neurons, while also inhibiting serotonin synthesis.
