Informazioni sul prodotto
- 1,2-Dimethyltetraphenyldisilane
- Disilane, 1,2-dimethyl-1,1,2,2-tetraphenyl-
1,2-Dimethyl-1,1,2,2-tetraphenyldisilane is an organosilicon compound that can be used in the synthesis of a variety of organic compounds. It is synthesized by the reaction of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid and potassium hydroxide in an alkaline medium. The catalytic process for this reaction takes place on a platinum electrode at high temperature. The reagents are usually prepared separately and then mixed to produce the desired product. Hydrogen gas is generated during the process and must be removed from the reaction vessel by either cooling or bubbling with inert gas. 1,2-Dimethyl-1,1,2,2-tetraphenyldisilane reacts with alkenes and hydrazines to form alkyl silanes. This compound also reacts with aldehydes to form oxirane compounds.
