Tylosin D is an antibiotic that has been shown effective against a wide variety of microbes, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites. Tylosin D is used in the treatment of bacterial infections and as a preservative in animal feed. It has shown to be active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including mycoplasma. Tylosin D prevents the synthesis of proteins by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. This drug has also been shown to have anti-cancer effects when used in chemotherapy.
