Informazioni sul prodotto
N,N-Dimethyl-1,2-dithiolan-4-amine oxalic acid (MDDAO) is an analytical method used to measure the level of insect resistance in plants. MDDAO is extracted from plant leaves and then quantified by HPLC. The extraction procedure involves solid phase microextraction followed by derivatization with N,N-dimethylformamide to produce a stable product that can be analyzed by HPLC. It has been shown that MDDAO has genotoxic effects in rat liver microsomes and may be toxicological to mammals. This compound shows low potency and is resistant to degradation by esterases and other enzymes in vitro. High levels of resistance are observed in both invertebrates and vertebrates, which may be due to its high stability against oxidative conditions and the formation of disulfide bonds.
