Cis-phenothrin acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, preventing the breakdown of acetylcholine by enzymes in the central nervous system. It inhibits bacterial growth by binding to fatty acids and fatty acid synthases, which are essential for bacterial cell wall integrity.
