Descrizione:Carteolol is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist. It has been used to treat high blood pressure, glaucoma and migraine. The pharmacological effects of carteolol are mediated by its binding to the beta-adrenergic receptors in the heart and vascular system. Carteolol also acts as an agonist at GABAA receptors, which may account for its sedative effects. Carteolol is soluble in water and methanol, but insoluble in ethanol.
