Descrizione

Pumiloside is a natural compound found in Chinese herbs that has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in humans. It is an analog of nifedipine, a calcium channel blocker commonly used to treat high blood pressure. Pumiloside has been found to be an effective inhibitor of protein kinases, which are enzymes involved in cell signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and division. This compound induces apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells and has potential as an anticancer agent.
