• Descrizione: GNE 049 is a monoclonal antibody that targets acetylcholine receptors. It has been shown to be effective in treating lymphocytic leukemia in mice and human cells in culture. GNE 049 is also effective against some cancers, including pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, and breast cancer. GNE 049 binds to acetylated lysine residues on histones H3 and H4. This binding inhibits the acetylation of H3 and H4, which prevents the transcription of genes that regulate cellular growth. In addition, GNE 049 has been found to inhibit the synthesis of proteins involved in inflammation, such as IL-6 and TNF-α. Clinical trials are currently underway to determine if GNE 049 will be an effective treatment for other types of cancer.
