Descrizione

KT5720 is a potent and selective inhibitor of the enzyme protein kinase C-delta (PKCδ), which is primarily expressed in the brain. KT5720 has been shown to decrease the production of inflammatory mediators, such as eosinophil peroxidase, by inhibiting the activation of PKCδ. This drug also has cardiac effects, including myocardial infarcts and cardiotoxicity. KT5720 inhibits the activity of PKCδ by binding to its ATP-binding site and preventing phosphorylation of its substrate proteins.
