Descrizione

D-(-)-Norgestrel is a synthetic progesterone analog and has been shown to have high affinity for progesterone receptors, making it effective in preventing pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation and thickening the cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching the egg. D-(-)-Norgestrel also contains an alkyne group, making it a useful click chemistry reagent, and is an antioxidant in vivo.
