Descrizione

TAS-120 is a potent antitumor agent that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and inhibits its function. TAS-120 has been shown to inhibit cellular proliferation in vitro and in vivo, as well as induce apoptosis. The antitumor activity of this compound has been demonstrated in a variety of animal models and human cancer cell lines, including myeloma cell lines. TAS-120 also inhibits EGFR signaling by binding to the ligand binding domain of EGFR and blocking the signal transduction pathway. This drug displays a potent water permeability profile with low skin absorption rates. TAS-120 is currently undergoing clinical trials for treatment of skin cancers, myeloma, and solid tumours.
