Descrizione:A-836,339 is a synthetic cannabinoid that has a high affinity for the CB1 and CB2 receptors. A-836,339 exhibits a profile of activities in functional assays similar to other synthetic cannabinoids and also has an affinity for the CB2 receptor. It was shown to inhibit TNF-α induced secretion of IL-6 from cultured human monocytes in vitro and to reduce nerve injury-induced spontaneous activity in rats. The effects are mediated by cannabinoid type 1 (CB1) receptors. A-836,339 also inhibited uptake of [3H]anandamide into synaptosomal preparations from rat brain tissue with IC50 values of 0.5 μM.
