Descrizione:
Methiocarb is a pesticide that has been widely used in agriculture, forestry and public health. Methiocarb is a chemical compound that can be found in wastewater effluents. It has been shown to inhibit the activities of enzymes such as acetylcholinesterase, which are involved in the transmission of nerve impulses. Methiocarb also inhibits the synthesis of DNA by binding to the dinucleotide phosphate, which is required for DNA replication. Methiocarb is toxic to aquatic organisms and has been shown to cause damage to fish populations through its inhibition of the production of protein and enzyme activities. This drug also has acute toxicities on mammals, as it can lead to respiratory problems, nausea and vomiting.
