Descrizione:3-Amino-5-methylbenzoic acid (3-AMBA) is a chemical compound that is used in the treatment of murine leukemia. It inhibits cell growth by binding to the DNA and inhibiting transcription and replication, as well as by inhibiting the biosynthesis of proteins and other cellular molecules. 3-AMBA has been shown to be active against Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and L1210 cells. This drug also has detoxification properties and can inhibit the production of cyclopentanoid compounds in plants.
