Descrizione:MK-0429 is an inhibitor of the integrin receptor, which prevents fibrosis and inflammation in the kidneys. It has been shown to be a potent antagonist against fibrinogen and potent inducer of the release of interferon alfa-2b. MK-0429 has also been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory properties and to inhibit the growth of melanoma cells in mice. A phase 1 study was performed on 12 patients to assess safety and pharmacokinetics. The drug was well tolerated, with no significant adverse events observed during the trial.
