This compound has been shown to be toxic to mammals, including humans, because it inhibits mitochondrial cytochrome c1-c3. The n-oxide form of this compound is a pesticide that is less toxic to mammals than its parent form. Tyclopyrazoflor has three stereoisomers: cis-, trans-, and erythro-.
