Descrizione:EG01377 is a small molecule that acts as a regulator of the tumor vasculature. It blocks the serine protease plasmin, which is essential for the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins in tumors. This inhibits tumor growth by preventing the breakdown of basement membranes and inhibiting axonal growth. EG01377 also blocks lymphatic vessels, which leads to reduced metastasis and tumor size. EG01377 has been shown to inhibit serine protease activity in vitro and to have anti-tumor effects in vivo. EG01377 has been shown to be effective against colorectal cancer cells in vitro, but not against breast cancer cells or melanoma cells.
