Descrizione:Together with IL12B, IL23A forms part of the heterodimeric cytokine IL-23 which functions in innate and adaptive immunity. IL-23 is a member of the IL-12 family of cytokines that includes IL-12, IL-35, IL-27, and IL-39. IL-23 binds to a heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IL12RB1 and IL23R and activates the Jak-Stat signaling cascade. IL-23 is a key driver of Th17-mediated immune response during infection and inflammation and its over production is involved in several cancers.
