LP-211 is a drug that binds to the 5-hydroxytryptamine 7 receptor (5-HT7) with high affinity and specificity. It is a potent and selective antagonist of the 5-HT7 receptor, which has been shown to be involved in the regulation of brain functions, neurodevelopmental processes and locomotor activity. LP-211 also inhibits the binding of serotonin to its receptors, suggesting that it may have therapeutic potential for treating neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression or anxiety. LP-211 is an irreversible inhibitor of the 5-HT7 receptor, which blocks the activation of this receptor by serotonin. This drug also has pharmacokinetic properties that are suitable for oral administration.
