Descrizione:2-Phenylethyl Methacrylate is a monomer that is used in the production of polymers. It can be cross-linked with other monomers to form polymeric materials with desired properties, such as hardness and chemical resistance. 2-Phenylethyl Methacrylate has been used in cell culture studies to create a hydroxyl group on the surface of cells for polymerization initiation. This process can be done by exposing cells to an acid catalyst or by exposing them to supercritical CO2. 2-Phenylethyl Methacrylate is also used as a coating material and has been shown to improve the optical imaging quality of tissue samples, as well as its ability to control phase equilibrium.
