Sodium copper chlorophyllin B is a photoinitiator that has been used in the development of antibacterial vaccines and in the treatment of enteroviral infections. This drug is also effective against gram-positive bacteria and has been shown to be an antimicrobial agent. Studies have shown that this drug can be used as a photosensitizer, which allows it to activate light at wavelengths of 400-700 nm, leading to the production of reactive oxygen species that cause cell death. Sodium copper chlorophyllin B has been shown to be effective against many symptoms caused by virus-induced inflammation, including fever, rash, joint pain, and lymphadenopathy. It also effectively boosts the immune system and kills bacteria that may have developed resistance to other drugs. The spectrum of this drug includes gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) as well as many types of viruses.
