Descrizione:1,5-Decadiyne is an isomeric hydrocarbon that is a solid at room temperature. It has been used in infrared spectrometry to study the hydration of terminal alkynes. 1,5-Decadiyne also serves as a precursor for the synthesis of insoluble polymers and erythrocentaurin. 1,5-Decadiyne can be synthesized by deamination of campesterol with nitrous acid. The two geometric isomers are cis and trans. 1,5-Decadiyne has been shown to be a potent attractant for insects, specifically pheromones that are emitted from insects such as moth species.
