2-[2-(6-Bromohexyloxy)ethoxymethyl]-1,3-dichlorobenzene is an organic compound that belongs to the family of carbamic acid derivatives. It has a primary amino group and a carbamic acid at the 2 and 3 positions, respectively. This molecule also has a formyl group on the 1 position. The amination reaction between this compound and formaldehyde will produce an imine as a final product. This reaction is catalyzed by heat or other oxidants like nitric acid or hydrogen peroxide.
