Descrizione:
L-Ascorbyl 2,6-dibutyrate is a trimethylated derivative of vitamin C. It is an efficient scavenger of the reactive oxygen species generated by the oxidation of hydrogen peroxide. L-Ascorbyl 2,6-dibutyrate has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This compound also has antioxidant effects and has been shown to enhance anticancer activity when combined with other antioxidants such as alpha-tocopherol or melatonin.
