Descrizione:
Dodecyl ether is a hydroxyl group-containing compound that belongs to the chemical group of glycol ethers. It is a surfactant with biological properties, which can be used in wastewater treatment. Dodecyl ether has been shown to have a detergent-like effect on cell lysis and salt particles in sodium solutions. The hydrophobic properties of dodecyl ether are due to its hydrogen bonding interactions with water molecules and its hydrophobic effect on the surface of the solution. Dodecyl ether is also thermodynamically stable, as it has a low Gibbs free energy change and high entropy change.
