Descrizione:Pentadecanophenone is a reactive organic solvent that is colorless, nonflammable and odorless. It is used as a microcapsule coating for portability. Pentadecanophenone can be reversibly polymerized to form polypentadecanophenones through the use of sodium salts or phenyl groups. This compound has been shown to have deuterium isotope effects in organic solvents. Pentadecanophenone has also been shown to be thermochromic, meaning it changes color when heated. Reactions with anthracene yields discoloring products that are not reversible on cooling.
