Descrizione

Urdamycin B is a synthetic antibiotic that belongs to the group of macrolides. It is active against bacteria and parasites and has been shown to inhibit the growth of DNA viruses, such as herpesviruses, and microorganisms, such as fungi. Urdamycin B has also been shown to have antiviral activities against influenza A virus in cell culture. Urdamycin B can be used for chemotherapy or as an antiparasitic agent. It has a broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, including some drug-resistant strains, and it can be used for treating bacterial infections in humans or animals. Urdamycin B is able to inhibit the growth of many types of bacteria, including mycobacteria resistant to other antibiotics.
