The IR spectroscopy studies show that dihydrodiol ibrutinib binds to tubule cells in the kidney, which may lead to renal toxicity. The FTIR spectroscopy also showed that this drug binds with trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) during sample preparation, which may affect its stability.
