The compound also blocks necroptosis induced by complement-dependent cytotoxicity or cellular inflammatory stimuli. GW806742X inhibits the release of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines such as IL-1β and TNFα, which may be due to its ability to block NF-κB activity.
