Descrizione:3-Acetyl phenyl isocyanate (APIC) is a nucleoside that has been shown to inhibit glutathione reductase and glycosylated hydroxamate, as well as the activity of ligase. APIC has also been shown to prevent the synthesis of glutathione esters, which are necessary for the production of glycoconjugates. This drug may be used in the treatment of diseases such as cancer and diabetes by preventing glutathione from being used up by these diseases. APIC may also be useful in treating lung cancer and other cancers that are resistant to other treatments.
